Welcome to Spring, Deer Hearts,
The 2025 Spring Equinox is Thursday, March 20th at 5:01 am.
May the stresses and strains of this past winter transform into beauty, peace and love. How is it possible for that to happen? Let’s try loving one another, Mother Earth, and all life — no matter what others are doing. It doesn’t take everyone to change things. It only takes a quorum to begin change.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER, HE SAID
Love one another, he said
More than ever, this holds truth and purpose,
for loving one another is the only thing
that will raise humanity’s consciousness
Finding the origins of Love
will answer the divine questions –
Who is our Source?
What caused our creation?
The only way to answer that
is by finding our own power within to Love
That’s how we come to know our Creator,
the One Love that is All Love
When we connect with that Love,
it becomes the only thing that makes sense
to experience and express every day
toward each other, and the rest of creation
Once we find Love within
we can immerse ourselves in it,
even if we didn’t receive it as children
or life experience has subdued its presence
Once we turn Love toward ourselves,
we can stop loathing our humanness
that makes mistakes, is frail, and intolerant, for
when we stop judging ourselves, we cease judging others
Once we realize Love, we can help one another
When we choose Love, fear and cruelty no longer rule
Humanity can raise itself above war and oppression
For, why would we do that to each other?
Once we Love one another
We’ll stop creating the horror
of biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons
that can extinguish life on this planet
Making money would be achieved
by companies doing the most good,
in the most ecological way, even as we
undo the harm we have already created
Our young people would resume
having hope for the future
instead of despair, and burying themselves
in ways to escape pain and suffering
Humans would awaken to the gift that it is
to share the Earth with the natural world
We would open our eyes
to their sentient nature and deep beauty
We would create ways to live together peacefully
Sharing and caring for this exquisite garden
in which we all live, and
upon which all life depends
We would never dare poison the land
and each other with chemicals
that create illness and alter
the pattern of Life as it was designed to be
Once we fathom the truth of Love
We can learn to appreciate
the smallest blessings – a cup of tea,
sunlight on an empty wall, the use of our senses
Love one another, he said.
As we accept being fully human
Turning kindness and compassion toward all,
We can then expand our circle of Love
